Stretch with Erin Goldman
Brought to you by Erin

- Pause and take 3 deep breaths. This calms the nervous system.
- Becoming aware of your breath automatically brings you into the present moment and helps you focus.
- Take time to slow down and feel.
- If you feel anxious, take a moment to pause and let your seat be heavy and settle. If you're standing, let your feet be heavy and settle.
- The breath is the link between the mind and the body.
- Moving your spine in all 6 directions every day will help keep you young (6 directions: side bending-2 sides, forward/backward bending, twisting-2 sides).
- A strong core will help you sit and stand tall and will support you in everyday activities.
- Stretching: It helps you do more stuff.
- If you run or bike, stretching (especially yoga) is a great complement.
- Take a deep breath in and feel your inner body get bright and full, stay full and lifted inside and as you exhale, let your outer body soften and relax.
- Live from your heart-even when you're stretching.
- Embody the quality that you want to bring into your life. ex. If you want confidence, be confident and steady in your stance.
- See the beauty. It will brighten your day.
- You're doing your stretch perfectly if you feel full and your heart and mind are involved in it and there's nothing more you could possibly add.
- Not too loose, not too tight -Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche
Erin comes to yoga from a threefold path. Years of dance training and performance drew her to the
physical challenge and grace of yoga; graduate studies in counseling and a Masters Degree in social work
drew her to the psychological aspect of yoga; and intensive meditation training and practice drew her to
the spiritual aspect of yoga.
Erin studied and was certified in Hatha Yoga at the Pyramid Yoga Center on the
island of Koh Pha Ngan, Thailand. She is currently on the path towards becoming an Anusara Inspired
Instructor. She has experience in both group and private instruction and is a Registered Yoga Alliance
Instructor.
It is Erin's goal to guide each student in returning to Health, Happiness, and
Balance.
